Ocean City Fire VHF

I'm coming down to Ocean City this weekend and just wondering if the VHF Simulcast is still active as I all I have with me is my trusty Dual Band HT. I did see it on Radioreference Database and already know what frequencies I need, but just trying to confirm if it is still active

EDACSTECH, does Ocean City police still use 460 frequencies' or are they 800 frequencies only?

PD are on 800mhz. For some time after moving to the EDACS system, the north and south police talk groups were simulcast on the old UHF freqs (460.425 and 460.325 I think) but they have since been phased out.

The VHF fire frequencies are all very active. In fact, those frequencies were never used as stand-alones. Before 800mhz, fire was on low band. The VHF-high freqs were added along with 800mhz so that FD members could still monitor activity on their pagers and scanners before EDACS-capable scanners came around. Talk about taking care of the volunteers!!!

Thanks for the response. I knew 460-325 was working then it stopped. I was not sure if OCPD changed vhf freq's on me or stopped using this freq.

OCPD are on the TRS they don't have and simulcast frequencies that I know of but I could be wrong

It's posted TWO MESSAGES UP in this thread!!! OCPD use the 800mhz EDACS trunked system and the simulcasts that were once in place have been phased out.

I advocate searching an entire forum for basic info before posting questions, but missing it in THE SAME THREAD is just sad.

If you are refering to Worcester County fire operations it is 155.100. Don't believe 46.380 is in use.
