Ocean City, NJ Confusion

I was down a few weeks ago at for 3 days and the OCFD was doing training so the Deputy advised to switch to "Fireground". I have OCFD Operations (153.845) but heard nothing. I see in the Atlantic County DB that they have OC Fire Disp. OC Fire TAC 2 OC Fire TAC 3 in the EDACS list. Do these have VHF frequencies like shown in the Cape May County, Ocean City Tab? Or is it a mixed radio system? Also, will OCPD switch to Atlantic Co. P25 II?

The 153 frequency is simplex, so you will have to be very close ^(within a few blocks) to hear anything.
In response to your question about OCPD, yes they will be migrating to the Atlantic County Project 25
Phase II system as EDACS is nearing EOL support. The projected date last I heard was early 2017.
