Ocean City's New Radio System

Does anyone Know If The Town of Ocean City has That New 911 System Yet??? and also If I May Add Does Anyone Know any Other Countys or
Citys In Maryland That Has The Simular System That Ocean City Will be
Having??? Thanks

Only equipment at the Communications Center is being updated, consoles, phone system ect, so OC can be a backup to the county's 911 center in the event of some kind of failure, bomb threat ect. There is no new radio system coming to OC

Thanks Chris for clearing that up I thought that OC was very pleased with their Radio system. I was dumfounded when I saw this

Yea, as far as I know they are real pleased with their radio system. If OC went to a new system this soon, it would be a REAL slap in the face to the county, cause the fact that OC uses EDACS was a big factor in the county choosing an EDACS system for interop... Even if OC was going to an all pro-voice system, that would be a big slap also cause none of our Fire/EMS radios are pro-voice capable...only the police radios are.... So I doubt you'll see any major changes to the OC system in the near future.

Thats What I Meant, The Upgrades!!! sorry for the confusion :shock:
The Upgrades were meant to be used for Worcester County's Radio
System only in an event of Snow Hill's System was to fail...
OC is very Happy with The System that they currently have
