Is there anyone having trouble hearing OC fire on the trunk groups? I hear them tap out the companys but for listing to them about 2 days ago. I dont hear them talking on the trunk. I have 2 scanners one here at home the other one at the Firehouse and both are not picking it up. Someone plz help me out thx

Your post is somewhat confusing. What else do you listen to other than fire on the trunk system and where are you listening from?
The reason I ask is because all of the trunk system frequencies are shared amongst all of the talk groups.
If you were having a problem hearing just a fire zone or zones this makes no sense as they are just talk groups.
As I type this i am listening to Station 36 dispatched to a gas leak on zone 5. They are having no problems with communications and I am hearing a lot of other comms from various pd talk groups and various other dept talk groups.
Sorry about that. But yeah I hear station 36 get hit out. But Im not hearing them on the TG it happen about 2 days.. I only really have the Fire Zones in my TG as I lock out the rest. I cant figure it out what is going on. I hear county dispatch EMS & Fire I hear my local PD but I just thought it was weired on 2 scanners that i cant hear nothing.

Ray - you are probably missing a control channel in your scanner programing. At the present time the OC trunk system is using control channel 2.
EDIT: You must have all 3 control channels(1-3) programed into you scanner to properly trunk track on this system.

Ray - 508.1875 Dispatch is a conventional channel. It is not part of the trunk system. That must be programed seperately from the "trunk system". It sounds like you have a programing issue. I suggest you post a question in the appropriate forum(Radio Shack, Uniden, GRE) if you do not know how to properly program in the trunk system in your scanner.

Oh you r going to love this one I think i found out what happen on the trunk system on one of the Primary Numbers some how was off. I had it 506.5875 well I changed it to 506.6875. And now Im picking them up. Im sorry guys if Im a pain in the ass LOL But I never changed the numbers and Im the only one here at home and the FH that knows how to program the scanners. I just cant figure that out again thx guys for the help
