In the database section of this website they have listed 2 fireground channels under Ocean County Conventional ( 511.1875 & 465.5875) and they have them tagged as "FireTac" If you go into the Ocean County Trunk System they have listed 3 Fire Tac talk groups. My question is are the Fire Ground channels just a simulcast of the Firetac talk groups on the trunk system ?

Thanks,

Bob

Those descriptions in the "Tag" column are what the person who submitted them to the RR DB entered in that column and are NOT the actual usage under the "Description" column which is what you should be looking at for the actual usage. That is confusing and should not state that. Fire Ground 1-3 channels which are simplex(talkaround) should not be confused with the Fire Tac 1-3 Talk Groups which are repeated and simulcast through out ocean county.

Yup, the fireground channels and the firetac channels are two completely different animals. As fineshot said tac 1-3 are on the trunk while fireground are simplex channels.
