Hi everyone!

I am curious as to if anyone knows the tone that Ocean County uses for announcements, such as hospitals going on divert. I know its a single long tone, and that its on the lower end of the tones. My goal is to have my pager beep so I know whats going on.

Thanks for your help.

That is a motorola centracom alert tone and not a paging tone so I don't think that's going to work for you. You can leave your pager in monitor mode and receive everything but that will be a pita.

If it is a steady, solid tone, its usually 1000.0 hz.

There is that one, and several others that can be chosen via a drop down menu
by any one of the dispatchers so there is no telling which one they will use at the
time and no way to tell the duration of the alert tone or tones.
