Hi All, have there been any updates to this system? Any Fire/EMS agencies switched and/or testing? Any testing overall?

Fire marshals, fire coordinators along with EMS coordinators are the only ones using the new system full time.Beach Haven,High Point and Ship Bottom fire companies have some radios and have been seen on the system testing TG 6001. All municipalities are on their own with securing funding to purchase new radios and will be a slow process for sure.

Seemingly Elias with your explanation, it will be a long, drawn out migration. Is there a FCC mandate move date? I'm not familiar with the radios many fire/ems agencies use but is it possible that their current radios are capable/can be made capable of operating on the new system? With Jackson, Brick, Toms River, Lakewood and the LBI area departments already operating on separate systems, is there a plan for full integration?

Being that the new system is Phase II digital the current radios can’t work on the new system alone, now if the new and old TGs are patched together then that’s a different story. All the towns you mentioned already have radios on the current system and will most likely be the case for the new one to achieve interoperability county and state level.
