eclipse, we may be able to help you better if you tell us what kind of scanner are you trying to program the system into? Different makes of scanners program differently.

Also, just to add to kb2vxa's post , (nice post by the way), the Corrections Talk Group, 1824, is used for prisoner transport only. Kind of useless listening. The only EMS Talk Group that is currently used is EMS Coordinator, 24768, when there is a major incident and numerous EMS squads are working at the scene. None of the EMS squads are on the trunk system.

It's not used for prisoner transport only. County uses it to talk to the jail and sometimes the OCSD uses it as a secondary talkgroup.

Well, the only thing I EVER hear on it is the officer telling dispatch where he's going, be it a detail or to the jail, how many prisoners he has, and the starting and ending mileage. I've never heard anything else BUT that on that TG. That's why I posted that information. And, as a matter of fact, I was just recently considering deleting the TG altogether, because I find it to be absolutely useless.

Well, the only thing I EVER hear on it is the officer telling dispatch where he's going, be it a detail or to the jail, how many prisoners he has, and the starting and ending mileage. I've never heard anything else BUT that on that TG. I've never heard County talking to the jail, nor have I ever heard Sheriffs officers, other than the jail personnel, use it. That's why I posted that information.
