Mike... While the wife and I were standing on the patio watching them:
140.2250 (127.3)
140.1500 (192.8)
141.2000
127.0750 Tower
360.2000 Tower (Much clearer and louder)

Were all very active. I will be on the radio tomorrow!

Hey Mark. Try 139.1 too. I plugged it in after some searching and it didn't seem like a harmonic, It was fire dept related stuff. Give it a try and see what you think. I'm curious if some of Oceana public safety bleeds over to other frequencies. Thanks.

Nice catch Corn.... 139.100 has a PL 131.8.. It is a Fire Dispatch channel for NRMAFES. Not sure who, but Quint 33 to Fire Dispatch on the air. You think I would know who and where since I was on Quint 15 yesterday. I am getting all bars on my 346xt by Lynnhaven Mall. It might be Fort Story since they are now part of the NRMAFES with Little Creek. It is nowhere in the DB. Once again good catch.

OK... Here is what I found. 346XT has 139.100 (131.8) 15X has 142.7250 (131.8) both are transmitting the same traffic, but the 139.100 is coming in MUCH better. Maybe it is the true Oceana/Dam Neck dispatch? Also 141.2000 is active with Fire Branch and units with par checks.

Thanks for the follow up Investigator. I also found that to be true with my radio. I was hoping it wasn't a harmonic. And yes on my Gre 139.1 was coming in a lot clearer than the 142.725 freq. So even though 142.725 is part of the equation i will use 139.1 next time up there as fire dispatch since it comes in real well. I was playing around in that range and stumbled across it. Also if you want to check it out, there is no published 380MHz TRS systems listed for the Norfolk/VA Beach area but i did come across a P25 control channel on 385.125 (or something close to it), plugged it in but never had a talk group hit on it. Maybe it's a new one fixing to go in somewhere.

Mike... Should the Dam Neck fire be updated also? I am not sure if they are the same, but I will ask some of my co-workers who are stationed there.

Fentress Engine 8 did a radio check right after dispatch finished the radio check. It is dispatch for both Oceana & Dam Neck. Rescue 31 & 32 did the radio check this morning.
