OCNJ Lifeguard Frequencies

Does anyone know what frequencies the OCNJ lifeguards use? In the database I didn't see any listed for them.

I assume he's referring to Ocean County, since it's the only county in the state that begins with an O. Still should type out the full name at least in the thread title so people don't have to assume/guess.

Just a guess. Most everything NJ is by the each by each municipality. You know, home rule. I would be surprised to find a Countywide lifeguard resource anyplace in Jersey, it is not the way.

My guess is OCNJ is Ocean City!

Last night I had the SDS100 on search on the NJICS Cape May Simulcast Site and picked up PD dispatches on talkgroup 5287. I recorded the transmissions and tracked the addresses of incidents and clearly it is Ocean City PD Dispatch in the clear. The Unit ID# for all transmissions 508999, so it...

And that is exactly why these things should be spelled out, so we don't have to make assumptions about what someone is asking. It's a bad habit that I see far too often around here, people who expect you to know what every acronym/initialism they use refers to. 🤦‍♂️

* Some are obvious like NJSP or NYC or NYPD or FDNY (not "NYFD" 😒), but please spell out others.

Ocean City Beach Patrol is on the P25 Atlantic County TRS, use the site in Ocean City. Talkgroup is 31302.
