That is definitely the "beeping" I hear in SNJ but sometimes bleeds over on all VHF/UHF bands when someone is txing. Wonder why they didnt use a higher freq that wont interfere with radio tx.
Your right Wildbillx, it does bleed on most any channel on both bands. The weird thing is its not there all the time (thank God), I had it about a hour ago, that was the first time and last time today so far I have heard it.

You will hear it come and go as it is always being sent up and brought back down. It's down at the moment. Probably due to the weather coming through today.
I wonder if these tones are what I am hearing in the upper HF bands, about 10 MHz and up I get a very faint tones just as the other posters have stated. I thought it was locally generated from some piece of junk device but maybe its not. any recordings posted yet.
I guess they did not want to wind the blimp in today's weather (or perhaps they could not) and now it is someplace over Pa. as it broke loose off its mooring today. They have F16 tracking it.
Guess VHF should be quieter for a while here in Jersey.
I should know better, and I'm trying hard to hold it in, but I just let loose a very juvenile snicker. Thank you! As a taxpayer, though, it's not as amusing.
