Hey guys,
I am new to using a trunking scanner, especially while using it in my vehicle. I have purchased a Homepatrol-1 and have it up and running fine in the house. When I move it to my Dodge Ram, and hook it up to a Tram 1199 antenna. I for some reason get static while I am listening to my local Bell Fleetnet Zone 1 tower (141.52500 142.09500c 142.20000 142.30500 142.65000 142.69500 142.95000a).
I can still hear the audio but it is filled with static. I did a little testing and found that the static is only noticeable when the vehicle is running. I get no static when the vehicles in the ACC position.
Another thing I noticed is that I can pick up non-trunked channels perfectly while im driving.
