Good Monday Morning All!
It ought to be against the "Law" to feel this good, LOL! I hope all are well and receiving lots of DX signals.
I've noticed an 'oddity' that isn't explained in the F.C.C. Database. Example: 154.175; WPUQ 403, The Winnsboro Fire Department in Franklin Parish, LA. They list 2 "sets" of the same frequency with Fb2's and mobiles, but two, have "Frequency List" numbers. What the Heck? Is this some sort of "digital" set-up?
I certainly don't want to upset them, that I may be attempting to monitor them during bad wx events. If I'm at home, I listen to most of the area (within 60 miles) fire departments. When I'm "mobile", I monitor the "close-in" (within 30 miles) fire departments. But, during times of severe wx, Skywarn call-ups, I'd like to monitor all the fire departments within 125 miles of me, to hear if any tornado's or storm damage reports are being given.
We're expecting a cool front to move through the Ark-La-Tex tomorrow, Tuesday and drop our Highs into the 70's and the nights will be in the 50's. "Fall" has finally 'fell', LOL! I look forward to the cooler wx and some late night DX to open up.
Respectfully submitted,
