Hey all, just heard TG 27056- NE Calling for DNR in the open giving back a "DR". Do they go in the open every once in a while, or is it my imagination?

No you're not dreaming, every once in a while they forget to flip the "encryption switch" and they are in the clear.

That's what I figured. I usually don't have my MARCS bank open and just so happened to hear it. It would be nice to hear the Rangers around here.

I know, no idea why they are encypted, it's not any Secret Service operation or anything, it's nature enforcement. :roll:

I had to look it up it was a strange # for me also. I understand the need for the use of it. But most of the park stuff is on the MX channels so I just listen to those.

They are still on hi-band in my area.

What about the Stark Co. area. I heard that the SO dispatches for them on 155.4300, but haven't heard them lately. I just entered the District 3 freqs into my 96, just waitin to see.
