Off-Center Fed Dipole vs discone

Is the Off-Center Fed Dipole better at receiving than the disone or is there that much difference on these frequencies 130-174, 450-512 & 800-950? Got to get new antenna..

The OCFD will have peaks and valleys in its reception, while the discone will be consistent througout its frequency range.

I see there is 3 or 4 different makes of discone, is anyone better than the other? I just need to receive with it.
