The bc72 will be out in 2005, the bc92 is out now. These are similiar to the bc60 and bc80, but with updates to capacity and functions. Also coming soon is the sc230.

There is a common misconception that is exhibited when I am asked the question "Why doesn't Uniden sell scanners at (WalMart/Sam's Club/Sears/K-Mart/...)?"

Uniden would love to sell scanners at (pick one or all of the above). It isn't up to Uniden. The retailers decide what they are going to carry and if we are lucky, it will be some of ours (but more likely to be a phone or a GMRS).

I was just joking about that It's funny how some of the walmarts carry the 350c (I think that's the new one) and others don't. Oh well..................................

I just wish any store around my area would carry a selection of scanners. Our local RS has 1 Pro99 and no other scanenrs, and they definately don't have answers! The Wal-Mart 20 miles away, has 1 350C and nothing else. If I had the $$$, I'd put in a scanner/HAM/CB etc store. That way, I could play with all the new stuff!!!

Illinois sams' does.

two of the sams' clubs i have been to in the past month have the 72 scanner for sale @ $89.99. Maybe they will sell other scanners too.
