Thought I would start a thread dedicated for Rose Parade Communications Monitoring on January 1st.. You can post frequency's that you know will be used this year for the rose parade communications. Freqs can be FD, EMS, PD, Pub Works, or Operations.

I found the Rosemont Pavilion & Rose Palace operating on 464.5625R DPL 172 this morning.

PASADENA - Beginning today, the Pasadena Police Department will conduct the Parade Watch Program along the Tournament of Roses Parade Route.

The patrols are used to ensure security and include inspections of motor homes and other vehicles parked along the parade route.

FYI:
Rose Parade Coverage on scanamerica.com.

Beginning at 6pm PST on Wednesday the 31st, coverage of Rose Parade
related radio communications can be monitored at:

http://losangeles.ca.scanamerica.us/index.php.

From 6pm on the 31st until around 2pm PST on the 1st (when the parade ends)
the "Los Angeles County fire communications" scanner will be scanning Parade
Operations, Pasadena Police and Fire, and Red Cross EMS.

These are not in use this year. They've been used in past years, but have not come active at all this year.

Most of the 457.xxx and 467.xxxx lower power frequencies will most likely be used during Float Staging.

The PL tones to look for in the 457 Mhz band are 118.8 and 123.0.

The PL tones to look for in the 467 Mhz band are 123.0 and 250.3.

The Red Cross will be operating on 460.0375R. This repeater will most likely come active tomorrow afternoon.
