For reasons unknown, the record function stopped working for me. It has worked flawlessly since its inception and I use it everyday. But three days ago it stopped working. I've rebooted the computer (Win 11 PC), restarted the scanner (SDS200) and made sure Proscan is working as normal, which it is. I haven't made any changes to the PC or scanner.

With the record setting set to 'activity' and the record button on (red), the row will light up red as if it is recording, but it doesn't. I can see that audio is passing to Proscan as observed on the level meter, but still no bueno? Not sure what I'm missing.
I'm using v23.4.

Can you use the File Explorer to see if you can playback the files that way?
If no then check the computer speakers. If yes then go to the Audio Control - RSOIP Playback side and see if the Primary Sound Device is selected and the level controls are in the middle

As fate has it, it began working after my post. I checked the 'each transmission in new row', then unchecked it and all is well.
Based on the solid performance of the recorder for all the years it has existed, this glitch must be due to my desktop PC somehow.
My apologies for posting too soon and I am very grateful for your speedy and helpful reply.

A question regarding ProScan and my network.
I installed a Vonet VAPG-300 to my SDS200 LAN port. Set it up to bridge ( I don't think its set up as AP) to my Comcast router/modem. The scanner is in one room because of antenna limitations. Went to my home office (room B) and used ProScan to remote connect to the scanner on my desktop PC using the Auto detect IP Scanner button. Everything works great. I put a laptop in another room (room C) to remote monitor in that part of the house as well as intending to log and record 24/7. I got it up and running fine. When I went back to room B, it had lost the URL. I'm not sure if it's just audio or audio and control. It doesn't seem as if I can run both PC's at the same time and get the same from both PC's, audio and or control. Is this a network issue ( and how can I get around it ) or a software/ scanner issue. The PC's see's both the router/modem and the Vonets. I chose to get the wifi for both from the router. Would trying to get the signal for one PC from the Vonet and the other from the router help? I tried a few things, but time and frustration took over. I never did get both to do the same thing at the same time. By the way, I'm a networking rookie.

It sounds like you are using two instances of ProScan to connect to the scanner LAN audio at the same time. Is that correct? Only one app at a time can access the scanner LAN audio.

A couple of options:
1. Use one instance of ProScan to connect to the scanner LAN audio. In that instance, setup the ROIP Server feature. On the other instance use the RSOIP Client to connect to the RSOIP Server. You could do it with the Web Server too.
2. 1. Use one instance of ProScan to connect to the scanner LAN audio. On the other instance use an audio cable.

This doesn't apply to the data side as multiple instances of ProScan can connect to the LAN data.

Does ProScan log the sys ID anywhere, in the grid or in a .txt file? I am running a custom search on an SDS100 trying to find a new system that is coming online this year and thought I'd try a custom search of the supposed band but only value I see in the logging is the site NAC.

Or does anyone know how to search RR db by site NAC?

Not possible to search for systems by the site NAC, however if it's an MSI ASTRO 25 system, the NAC corresponds directly to the SysID.

Examples: Delaware's new system 689, all of the site NAC's are going to be 68x. STARNet 942, all of the site NAC's are 94x. Therefore any control/traffic channel NAC you find in the area that are 68x likely belong to the 689 system and any 94x likely belong to 942. If you already know the SysID of the system you're looking for, easy peasy.

And of course the more basic way to verify who the system belongs to is to simply look up the licenses for the frequencies. A little tougher if it's a statewide 700 system, as those frequencies allocated to the states are not required to be licensed per-site, but the fact that they are allocated to the states would be a dead giveaway that it's a state system such as Delaware's new system. The 800 frequencies must be licensed on a per-site basis.
