Not at the current time the full version is supposed to be out soon it may have this feature in it

I was referring, though I *did* forget to say so, to hand programming:

In other words, with hand programming (or computer) you cannot enter a channel so it would read out as, for example,

1 Fresno Fire 1 154.3750

---
and, by hand or computer once the channels are in, you can't insert a frequency in between them as a new frequency?
Say I have channels (giving them a number value for this example)

1
2
3
4
5

and I discovered I made an error and want to insert a 6th. frequency in as number 2, and have #2 then become 3, you can't do that then :?

With Control-Channel Only (bottom of manual page 69) the radio automatically determines the necessary frequencies. You do not need to do anything else to have the radio use them.

The Search and Store for trunked systems (manual page 85) is for storing talk groups the radio finds.

Hope this helps.

I don't understand why you are concerned about the sequence of the frequencies. The radio scans all the frequencies of a Radio System for the Hold Time as described on manual page 64.

I don't know about him, but I like to keep my channels in some what of an order so if I switch to manuel mode, I will know where each channel is, instead of having them strung out all over the place.

It's not trivial, but it is possible, all you have to do is open your system database up with notepad or wordpad and put the channel in where you want it.

Or you can get Ben's software which lets you add and sort in real-time. Is still a work in progress but it works good.

EXACTLY! In my 785D I have Police from 1 thru 12; Local & California Division Of Forestry Fire in 13 to 24; Madera Sheriff 25 - 26; Hospitals 27 - 36; Air 37 - 48, and 49 thru 61 have various freq.'s in them.

I use 101 - up for frequencies I *might* put in the main (1 thru 100) list later on if there's enough activity.

Mot Type II

Trying to program a MOT Type II System.
When I select 800 standard then go into the sys options fleetmap is preset to 1.
I thought the default for type II is no fleetmap?
Did I enter something wrong?

thx.

I use the software and just checked by default on the software if your are using it is none. As for programming by hand sorry I can't help much there. I spent the 29.95 and got the software from uniden have to say it's well worth it.

As I said over on the email list...

When you enter 800 MHz standard, it doesn't yet know that it's a Type II
system. Just skip the fleetmap programming. Don't select that option
when programming a new system.

Will the 246T Demo-ware program work with Windows 98SE (Version 4.10.2222A; no updates)? Does it require DirectX 9.0? I'm using DirectX 6.1a.

What is the homepage (or whatever its called) for the Yahoo group about the 246T?

I can't answer your software question because I myself don't even own the radio, however the URL (universal Resource Locator) for the BC246T Yahoo group is located at:

Comment: so, how can something like what I've done with the 785D be done by hand (or with the Demo-ware) with the 246T? Does a group have to be made for each service? Group1 - Police; Group2 - Fire; Group3 - Madera Sheriff; Group4 - Hospitals and so on?
Can a group be up or downloaded with the Demo-ware with a number after it? Can groups be edited /saved with a word processor, or Windows' 'Notepad'?
