I am heading down to Mexico again with 3 receivers [TX-1, Pro 668, and PSR-800]. Several years ago I encountered several standard Motorola 800-MHz "offset" systems. The control channel transmits the same hex information as a "regular" 800-MHz system but all of the system frequencies are 12.5-KHz lower
than the "regular" system. Thus, hex 0DE is 856.5625 in a regular system, but 856.550 in an "offset" system.
I was told that Tucson had such a system a number of years ago and may still have one. Has anyone had any experience [and luck] in programming a scanner to receive these systems either in the US or in Mexico?
TIA - any help is greatly appreciated.
