I'm curious, Did MARCS boost the power on the towers in Northern Ohio the last few days? Been getting a lot of OSP District 1 & District 2 traffic (running a TRX-2). Up until recently I wasn't getting them.

Tropospheric ducting most likely. I’ve received sites from the opposite side of the state before.

Or, someone from those districts was visiting your area and affiliated with your local towers.

Yeah kinda jumped to the conclusion the towers were identified and received directly. Otherwise most state talk groups can show up anywhere as orange said.

I am in SE Michigan and I had been getting traffic from around the Cleveland and Columbus areas. That's why I was curious and KF8YK, I am only running a mobile multiband antenna off a wall heater in my apartment.

Or, someone from those districts was visiting your area and affiliated with your local towers.
