Uh oh, a new Belmont Co member. Welcome, aarp! There are a few on here that i know of from Jefferson Co including RCool101 and antennaman1969 from Steub area and STA75 and myself from Northern Jefferson Co. From down in Belmont, there is Dawson75, koppers123, rs96, and ctfd32 down in your area - and medic_35 and dr400 somewhere near us all.

Enjoy the forums. I'm sure you'll get a lot from them, and hopefully have some contributions as well!

Nice to know I'm not alone in my scanning hobby here in Allen co.
I have been monitoring since the 60's. Gave up HF when sub-division
"noise " got to high.
I have had many scanners as you can well imagine.I listen to all of LAW ENFORCEMENT,FIRE Weather and anything else my Discone at 35 ft will pick up. Just about ready to invest in a GRE-600 for digital stuff.

I'll be visiting Grand Rapids, (Wood County) Ohio, in June, I'll be bringing my pre-programmed Uniden XLT 3500. I've seen some frequencies in here I'd like to put in, but I've no idea of the geography of the area, and how far I'll be able to hear. I'm doing a 140 mile cycle run as part of a group, taking in places like Zanesfield, Lebanon, Kirkmont and other places. I have an itenary of where I'm going.

I'd more than appreciate a little bit of help. I'd like to tune in the emergency services, railroads, aircraft and any maritime stuff. I also want to have some Toledo frequencies, and hope to be there on a Saturday (so I can sing one of my favourite John Denver songs!)

Thanks in advance.

I listen to MARCS daily and rarely see any private calls by OSP or anyone
else for that matter. You're not missing anything.

If you are that concerned about listening to private calls then you need
to upgrade to a GRE PSR-500, the Pro-96 does not capture private calls.
