I just heard and officer give out a persons social security number over the air at about 1525 hours. Is this legal?

I've been hearing that for years. Not so much in the last few years. .his computer must be down or he dont have one

Yep, nothing too unusual. For that matter, I don't think it was all that long ago Oklahoma stopped using SSNs "by default" for driver license numbers. Only reason my DL number wasn't my SSN was because I didn't have my SS card with me and couldn't remember the number when I went for my first license when I was 16.

Legal and often times necessary to confirm warrants match the person you are out with.
