I have been hearing OHP radio techs all over the state on TG 42064 reprogramming the UHF and VHF sides of the low band relay systems. They seem to have some MTR motorolas (MTR2000??) that need to have the bandwidth reduced to 2.5 khz from the 5.0 Khz original programming. They also seem to be finding long ignored problems where no one seemed to know some things weren't working. Blown polyphasers on coax and burnt out flourescent fixtures in radio buildings etc. Maybe they can get it all done by 1/1/2013. Some towers don't even have Andrew Heliax going to antennas just really old aluminum jacketed coax. Quite a job indeed.

It's scary to actually see just how some of the State owned sites are haywired together, especially the low band relay sites.

Sites not working right in areas where there is no OKWIN really could cause problems. I''ve heard comments like "now does that site have a GE or Motorola?" Hopefully they can get things better organized.

MSR 2000 or MSF series repeaters probably. Sucks that PS infrastructure is in such poor shape.
