When traveling east on 244, the Pryor tower proves adequate for a brief time. However, when traveling
on the Cherokee Turnpike (the eastern section, entering West Siloam Springs, OK / Siloam Springs, AR
adequate coverage seems missing.

The Miami and Grove towers are not in range (both by experience and analysis of their coverage maps.

Anyone else experience the paucity of coverage in this area?

I've never driven that with a scanner in the car but I did notice the topography and knew it would be difficult to cover. From the database, I'd say the Jay relay point is the only possibility for a trooper on that road to stay in touch with Vinita. BTW, the road number is 412 -- 244 ends in east Tulsa when it re-joins I-44.

Yes, I meant 412...but I thank you for pointing that out.

Xerb1962: So very glad to help; I try to be altruistic, but, alas... it's usually always completely fortuitous.
