This is something that's always kept me wondering. Which Troops I can pick up from NW OKC. I've also heard Troop G from where I live, primarily OHP BalyPik1 on 44176. So thanks for the info. Guess I'll program Troop M in and see what happens.
Depends on who's in town. If you hear Troop M units on the OKC site it's because a Troop M unit is close enough to the OKC site to affiliate. I'm sure OHP units have state-wide roaming capabilities, but that's probably not true of all agencies (i.e., it's probably the case that Norman Sanitation units cannot roam to Tulsa).

Very true. I knew that! So far I've picked up Troop A, Turner, Bailey and G on a regular basis and an occasional F, usually through the Norman or Lexington tower. For some reason, I never get to hear B except when I'm in Tulsa so I guess they don't travel to OKC much.
I can verify Troop M is on OKWIN using mostly Baker Peak. They have been online for about a month. Now if we could only get Troop H on there... I can hear Lawton OHP better than I hear Clinton and I'm only 22 miles away from them.
Probably because they either turn their radio off or switch to the Troop they are in. If I am in Lincoln County I know to switch to AR-1 if I am in the OKC metro I switch to AM-1 or in I am on the Turner I switch to Turner-1. Just a thought.
the troop m units are not using OKWIN as a primary. it only covers east of altus. low band is still the primary mode of communications. only a few of the troopers down here have 800 mhz radios.
