That's the good ol' boy system for ya! Atleast they did discipline the Trooper, that will help greatly w/ burden of proof in White's civil case. Hope he takes 'em to the bank.

In its ruling on Martin, the OHP said Martin had probable cause to stop the ambulance for failure to yield, and he was justified in trying to arrest White.

However, the OHP said Martin should have allowed the ambulance to go to the hospital once he learned a patient was on board.

I'll refrain from the "I told ya so's" ;)

Trooper is divorced. His ex wife dated another trooper. they got into a fist fight. He was therefore already on probation going into this incident.

The rest is history.

Where did you get this? He was with his wife at the time of the traffic stop.

Imagine that! Another case of OHP "little man syndrome", hopefully this sorry little man will lose his job this time?

i think right or wrong, the troop will terminate him this time. he's constantly going to be a magnet for this kind of attention. anytime he's forced to put his hands on someone they'll claim excessive force because of who it is.

The paramedic started that whole deal. As soon as the trooper told the paramedic that his business was with the driver and then told him OVER AND OVER to get back in the ambulance, the paramedic should have just said "ok" and done so. More than likely the trooper would have vented to the driver about his frustration and the driver should have been most apologetic and just said "Yes sir, sorry sir, etc etc".

The trooper was addressing a perceived issue with how the ambulance was being operated and with an alleged obscene gesture from the driver. There could be some back story or some history of OHP vs. Creek Nation EMS on some prior scenes as well that we're not hearing about.

Also, if I was that trooper, I would NOT have appreciated a family swarming me on a traffic stop like flies on a piece of fried chicken. :) That just adds to the frustration.

Maurice needs to apologize for even STARTING to run that lame "I'm the paramedic and I'm in charge" line of crap on the trooper. So far, I don't see that the trooper needs to apologize for anything.

The fact that the trooper said "****" in the course of his dialog is irrelevant. If that's the only complaint people can come up with, the troopers language, then the argument against the trooper is VERY weak.

Also, for people that have never worn a badge to come on here and sharpshoot this whole situation kind of sucks as well.

I have worn a badge, and I at no point have ever, or would ever put my hands around another human beings neck, unless they were a threat, and is the only means of neutralizing them, EMT did not at any time appear to be "a threat", Trooper on the other hand...clearly had a hot head from the get go...but thats law enforcement for ya...no better than those they were sworn to protect against...I say "bad name for OHP", TRY bad name for ALL LE...
