Ok DPS ?

In the southern part of OK along 35W near state line of TX, are they using the 800 system. Do the counties have access to there 800 system or does the DPS just use old radios to talk to counties using that specific counties older non 800 systems. Trying to see if I can pick up OK DPS transmissions.

As you might know, the last tower for the OK DPS smartzone is the Lexington tower located 8 miles due east of Purcell on 39.

In this thread okla-lawman commented about being able talk on Tulsa TG's near the Texas boarder. So it sounds like there might be some 800MHz coverage down there, most likely on hilltops, etc.

I would plug in the frequencies for the Lexington tower and see what you get (if you havent already). You would also want to monitor lowband frequencies as well.
