Is there an easy guide to programming the edacs trunking system that the Shelby County guys use here in Memphis? I have the Pro 96 from Radio Shack and I have read the book and can't seem to do it right. Maybe I need to have a few beers, then try. Used to have the old regular Radio Shack scanner from like 1990,she sure was easier.Yeah and by the way,when I bought the Pro 96,the guy at Radio Shack/ Collierville said,"Oh yeah, it will pick up the Memphis Police Dept."those Radio Shack guys are dumber than I am

Hope you got it working I was just in Memphis last week end and had no problems with my pro 96 or pro 2096. One note buy Don Starrs software listed on this site as it will make it easer for you to program the systems in the scanner also follow the the channel plans listed here in the forum and you will have no problem.

If you are still having trouble with programing edacs into a pro 96 just program the first freq into ch. 001 or 101 not the first channel in the bank. hope that helps.
