The specs say 25 to 54mhz, but mine for some reason is going between 1.0000 to 550 without any lock out. Weird...

It also is getting the 764 and up MHz range.

So what did i do to stumble upon this, or did i just get lucky and somehow unlock a bunch of locked out frequencies.

and maybe if i'm more lucky, Admins won't lock this forum and i can get my question answered because they thought i was upping my post count, (WHICH i don't give a BS about) instead of asking a valid question.

So someone please, help me out with this

Are you receiving any signals, or is your display just showing numbers?

I bet the specs say it covers a LOT more than 25 to 54 Mhz......

If you used Win96 to program the radio and checked the extended freq coverage box this might explain some things. Or not. I've never tested the radio's freq coverage after checking the box to see what it does.

Of course it won't work very well outside the spec'd freqs because the receiver filters aren't tuned for out of spec range.

Win96 will allow programming starting at 17.0000 to 174.0000 then jumps to 216.0025 through 550.0000 then jumps to 774.0000 to 868.9875. Ranges above 869 remain the same.

Should read 764.0000.

If the OP's radio is indeed doing what he says, then it is broken. Extended frequencies indeed start at 17 MHz.

Put a little more thought into your subject names and that could go a long way towards keeping your topics alive. Teasers that don't tell us anything about the topic just tend to piss people off.
