Anyone have any info on the new Crestview Fire Tac channels. Thought they used channel 2 for working fires. I just find it strange when they don't have FCC licenses or input channels. Plus the CTCSS is completely different from the DCS ones on the primary channels.

They use both the tac channels that have now been listed in the database. Not sure who submitted them, but it wasn't me haha. They don't use them often enough to really listen in to, plus they are simplex, so even in Crestview where I am, you cannot always hear both sides of the conversation.

They are under the same license as the regular Crestview Fire comms, KKV783.

They use TAC1 while enroute to incidents sometimes. TAC2 usually only gets used for hydrant maintenance. Again, both are simplex.

Dispatch is done on Channel 1, and usually command for incidents are hosted on Channel 2.
