Okay, I have narrowed it down to two choices. The BCD396XT versus the GRE 500. For you who have experienced the actual difference, please let hear. From everything I've been able to research, it's a toss up. I'd like to hear from actual users.
Thank you for youe opinion and expertise.

I own a BCD-396T, side by side with my friends' PSR500, the PSR500 excels on the Cobb and Atlanta DTRS. The PSR500 is excellent in decoding CQPSK LSM simulcast hands down, at least on Atlanta, Cobb and DeKalb P25 systems.

I have owned both the BCD396XT and PSR500 for use with the Charlotte Mecklenburg P25 system. I could absolutely tell no difference between the two for P25 audio quality and reception. I sold the 500, and have kept the 396 because I like the overall "feel" of the 396 with it's larger display and less "plastic toy" feel. I also like using Freescan for programming the 396.

Weren't your questions answered in the previous thread? Why rehash it all over again?
Just wondering,
Larry
