10, 17, and 24 are the remaining Tuesdays.

East side it is. I'm not opposed to Chili's. They can usually support groups. Would be something new.

I vote for the 10th or 17th. I might have a new toy by then.

Crap, I had just type out a response that any of the dates would work, but I forgot I had the OCPD's Citizen's Police Academy thing on Tuesday nights.

For anyone that hasn't gone through it or heard of it, you should defenitely check it out. They hold two a year and it is 12 weeks long. They cover tons of stuff and give a very good inside look at all of the training that the officers receive. Plus, you get to do all kinds of awesome stuff.

Isn't Chili's one of those fancy places that uses FRS radios for coordination? I'm thinking a table full of radio-equipped people would get served pretty quick... especially if they were programmed just right!

Well, there are too old people in there. Most people in there are between 30-45. I am not sure any of those ages would qualify as old. The ones in there I consider to be old are 60's. Oh yeah, and my dad is in there and he is 56.

Evidently, everyone does the Fire Department one and the Police one. I think I will check out the OCFD one next.

Thinking about it, I don't think to many "old" people would want to do the LEDT stuff. Of the old people in the class, a lady got carsick and ended up throwing up afterwards.

Hey, you guys better keep this Oklahoma radio related, or this post is going to get closed! (fireant) LOL I thought you made a valid point, but I’m no mod, just a commoner. Anyways! Has a date been set yet? I'm new to the area so I'd like to try and make it, and meet some new faces. Do you guys do this monthly? Ever consider one of the malls? It’s not fine dinning, but there’s more to monitor. Ever see a mall security guard screw with the squelch on his radio for an hour? Neither have I....but I laugh just thinking about it!

Well I am going to go ahead and push the 10th out there. The vittles will be consumed at 7pm at the Chili's listed at the top.

Yeah, Scott, this is a monthly thing that we do. Pretty low key and always centered around that dirty four letter word....food. Come on in to town, it will be nice to meet ya. There are generally about 10-15 people that frequent our meetings. There have even been surprise guest appearances from important radio people before...no names mentioned. But you know he only came once....so maybe we were a little to radio nerdy for the radio guy.

All right, sounds good, and thanks for the invite. I'm usually not free on Tuesday nights, but when some come open I'll be sure to make it down. Who's the special guest? I sense some sarcasm. You guys need to be careful about who sees your radios at the restaurant, “One steak fajita….it’s for a cop” you may get your ice tea faster, but who knows what will be in it! LOL, Happy Easter to all.

I even used the red Swingline stapler, (which, to make this a radio related post, is next to a scanner, and has, in the past, been used to staple frequency lists together.)

Is the consensus to go for the 10th. I'd just as soon hold off until the 17th so KX5MOT and Patio_RF can attend if they want to.

I just remembered, we have a video taping event on the 17th, early evening. But if it runs like last year, we should be able to make it late. Maybe even earlier since it is at the Chili's in MWC.

Is there anybody besides me going to be at Chilis. I was thinking that it might be a good idea to call ahead and reserve a space. I'll make the call if I have an idea what to tell them.
