Since it sounds like many "lurkers" want to be part of another dinner meet-up, let's start the planning. Last time we did it on a Tuesday, so hopefully that works out again. How does May 21 or 28th sound - somewhere around 7PM? I'd suggest we see who all thinks they can come and decide on a part of town for the meeting from there...

Please state your approximate area (south, central, east, north, west, above, etc) when checking in and confirming a date...

There could be some new things to talk about at these meetings in the near future, with the state continuing to upgrade OKWIN, rebanding (supposed to start coverage testing May 2012), linking into Broken Arrow, OKC and Arkansas systems via ISSI, many businesses and agencies migrating to DMR/TRBO, and anything else people want to bring along...

Apparently I can't figure out what dates are Tuesday!:p

So the 22nd works? Now for location...

Someone possed the option of bricktown ihop last time. I'm not really a fan, but I'd go for Toby Keith's (yummy unhealthy fried food - prefect for radio guys!) Since they have free parking. Otherwise, Furrs or other options would be ok with me...

My personal preference is to avoid downtown, although that's more because I hate hunting for parking and loathe paying for it! Long as the place has ample free parking that'd be okay.

I like Furrs, I assume we're talking about the one in Moore? That location has other tasty options - Buffalo Wild Wings (long as it isn't a game night, or we'd be hard pressed for much conversation over the noise!). Quite a few people have said Freddie's Frozen Custard is excellent, but haven't had a chance to go there.

Also at that exit are an Applebees, Earls Ribs, Jimmys Egg, Alfredos Mexican Cafe and hey, even an IHOP! :D (At least, according to my phone. Just scrolled down the service road on the map!)

Looks like I may have a shiny new (ham) toy to bring along, Elecraft finally got to me. My KX3 should be shipping this week! :D

BWW, Freddy's, Earls, Alfredos would be OK with me. I'm not really an IHOP fan, even if it's not in Bricktown. Jimmys lost my vote last time I visited. I understand avoiding downtown...I'm fine with the Moore location.

Sounds good to me.

Unfortunately I won't have my KX3 with me. Elecraft didn't ship it until yesterday, so it won't be arriving until Wednesday according to UPS.

Woody, does that mean you are only half the man you used to be?

Boyle - hope she feels better. We'll catch you next time.

USR - I know you've played with DSD. Do you have a portable computer running that? plaws wanted to see it (from the other thread), but I'm just running on a desktop. You could bring that and be everyone's hero (decode ProVoice and TRBO!)...

It's been a long time since I last used DSD, and that was on a desktop. I might be able to get it going, have to see. Only portables I have now are Macs running OSX.

Hm, I do have Linux on a netbook with a cracked screen... ;) It was still mostly-viewable last I looked... Not sure if it would have enough CPU though.

I'll take a look and see what I can get going. Not like I have anything else to do while I wait for my KX3! :D

...well that was easy...

Already got a fresh copy of Debian on the netbook and DSD is running! Works a LOT better than I remembered it doing before.

@ mam1081 Thanks. She had her gall bladder taken out yesterday and they're expecting a full recovery, just a little longer than normal because it was pretty far gone.
