OKC & DSDPlus Fastlane

Can someone assist me with getting DSDPlus Fastlane working in OKC? I cannot figure out if I need to use 851.0875 as the control channel or 857.9375. I am using two Nooelec Nesdr Smart SDR dongles in Windows 10.

You need 851.9875...make sure the signal is centered on the tuner (p or P to adjust). What issue are you having specifically...like how far are you getting? What window(s) do you have up, and what data (if any) is being shown?

First thing I run is,

FMP24-CC.bat

Which spits out,

You mentioned having fastlane...you only need one instance of FMP24 and one instance of DSD. The batch code I use:

FMP24_OKCmonitor.bat
FMP24 -rc -i1 -o20001 -f851.9875 -b12.5 (add a -p__ if you need correction)

DSD_one_receiver_follow.bat
DSDPlus -r1 -e -T -E -I60 -i20001

based on your returns, it looks like you are close to decoding - either a weak signal (unlikely) or non-centered frequency (likely in my opinion). In the FMP window, make sure the green signal peak is centered in the light grey box. Use keyboard p or P to adjust (record the "Corr:" number in the window title and put in the FMP24 batch file as listed above).

make sure your BW is set to 12.5 by either changing it in the FMP24-CC.bat file or use the B button on the spectrum window until BW at the very top of the window says BW: 12.5. Adjust your gain using the G button as needed.

I just tried it and got it to work.. Voice is very choppy.. Is this using both SDR's?

Also wondered is there a way to tune into a particular channel instead of it scanning like it does?

I was following this guys instructions where I had listed what I was doing above...

Thank you for all the help.. I am completely ignorant when it comes to this SDR stuff.. The late great Moose was going to show me how to get it setup but never got around to it..

if you have fastlane, you only need one receiver to follow voice calls. you can lock on a particular talkgroup by clicking on it while it's active...or going into the "misc" menu, selecting the talkgroup of interest, and then overriding priority to "HOLD".

As for the choppy audio, mine sounds ok. What type of computer are you running it on? In the past I had issues with computer hardware keeping up with the decode. There are some other options to "lighten" the processing load in DSDplus fastlane that we might try. How good is the signal you are receiving (strong enough?). Can you show us a screenshot of the FMP24 screen so we can make sure it's tuned in?

Thank you so much for this post. I had the same problem. Have been fighting it for a few weeks. The -p............................correction fixed my problem. I am now following CC traffic like crazy. I do have to make similar adjustments when listening to different systems for some reason. But that is OK. Probably a drift problem that I can live with. Thanks again for this post and the excellent directions for solving the problem.
