Howdy I have tried looking up some N #'s on QRZ without much luck lately. I had better luck going to Google and looking for the FAA site that has that info. That site worked fine. Ken KC5OU

Try

http//162.58.35.241/acdatabase/acmain.htm

Ken, you left the colon out after http! But thanks for the site info, I've bookmarked it for future reference. Unfortunately, it doesn't give any details of the AC it's displayed on, which is why I was looking in the first place.

It doesn't show any aircraft information because those Tail Numbers aren't assigned to any aircraft, yet. They are just reserved for use by this agency.

They might be leased aircraft licensed under the owner of the aircraft.

A major aircraft company that leases is Rocky Mountain ?.

They own their own aircraft, they do not lease from Rocky Mountain. Also, Rocky Mountain Helicopters is no more, they were bought out by Air Methods some time ago.

Sorry, I was expecting the real deal. Does anybody have the real tail numbers for OKC's AC?

Mark S.

For some odd reason, the numbers came to me today. I can't remember if I saw these on a picture or in video somewhere awhile back...

N279F
N380F

I looked it up here and didn't come up with much luck on matching OKC Police with the N-numbers.

Yea qrz changed thier database. They only allow HAM calls now. I dont know why. :(

Just gotta select the correct link, it's further down on the left:
http://www.qrz.com/air.html

However, nothing comes up trying common combinations (number alone, and together with state "OK"). Oh, well, we tried!

Not real sure about tail numbers N279F and N380F. Checked a site that I use for flying and has access to the FAA records (myairplane.com). It shows that N279F is registered out of Okeechobee, Fl and N380F flys from Scottsdale, Az.

Both are 1985 model Hughes 369's. At least one of OKC's MD500's is newer than that since it was a replacement for one lost in a crash a few years back.

Will try to catch a tail number the next time I'm at Downtown Airpark.

I come up with the same thing. And I've been keeping my eye out! I drove by there yesterday, but guess Air 1 was 10-8 in the air.
