(from National Weather Service, Norman)
"On Thursday afternoon, technicians completed a major upgrade to the Oklahoma City NOAA Weather Radio transmitter. A brand new 1000 watt transmitter is now in place, as is a new antenna and new feedline. The antenna was moved about 75 feet higher than the original position, and reoriented to give improved coverage. The weather radio still broadcasts from the KFOR TV tower.
We hope you'll notice a stronger, more reliable signal with the new system. We'd be interested in any signal reports or comments about the new system."
