Anything going on the federal channels these days around the state?

No idea, you would think so but I seldom hear anything on the federal band anymore

What freq range are you searching ?? as there are multiple Federal bands/ranges

You are close enough to Cibola National Forest you should hear the Black Kettle Repeater
and if you have a decent Antenna, you likely may get some traffic out of OKC

Only USFS LE have begun to go P25, Fire and normal ops are analog

Fed interop and FBI TAC A1 comes in every now and then but really not much else out in this area.

Don't give up, but you may just be out of range.
Don't forget to try
138-144, 148-150.8 and 380-400

When you say FBI A-1 what Freq, as I have not seen/heard reports for 170.6250 since the Analog Days.
And the Fed Interop are you referencing the DOJ FIO on 172.2125 $390 ?? or freqs from the NIFOG ?

Indeed I shall keep plugin away! I will try those as well thank you, and yes 170.6250 for A-1 goes between nac 167 and pl tone 167.9 of course encrypted both. Yes the doj fio 172.2125 but when it comes up i don't see a nac code or tone just encryption garble, and that's hearing it driving around in oklahoma city and all the way out in clinton sometimes.
