"Old Analog"

So, my EMS is on 151.xxxx anyways... sometimes I hear digital buzzing and other times I hear "Medic 5 Radio on Old Analog" and then I hear them talk in analog.. What does this mean? pleasE Most of the time it's digital buzzing tho.

The "digital buzzing" is radio traffic in a digital mode that your type of scanner can't receive. It's likely P25.
