In the interest of finding federal government frequencies, it occured to me that some federal frequencies have probably been "lost" over the years. I've only been in OKC for about a year now, so I don't have any previous information to go on, except what I've found on the internet. But I'm wondering if anyone has any "old" federal frequencies on lists or in books or just laying around in storage. Often, the government does not update their radio systems and so old systems are still in use after 20 years. For example, does anyone know the frequencies that were in use by the federal building before the bombing? I'd like to encourage everyone to go back through their old papers and lists and see any "old" federal frequencies can be found.

As of now, it appears that several federal government radio systems in place in OKC have been channelized a long time ago and not changed since.

Just an idea. Thanks. -- Gilligan

And when we find these old freq's, what are we supposed to do with them? I have several old papers and lists and what not that have freq's used by federal agencies. Now what?

federal lists

Maybe I was not specific enough with my post. I am primarily interested in Oklahoma City area frequencies since they are the only ones I can confirm. I don't know how many other people are willing to spend time checking old frequencies. And if you did have some information that you deemed worthy of talking about, why not post it here in this topic. Although I see you're from Tulsa and it may not be used. Don't know. -- Gilligan

Nextel iDEN format:Inbound frequency (mobile transmit) = [(0.0125 x carrier number) + 806] MHz Outbound frequency (fixed end transmit) = [(0.0125 x carrier number) + 851] MHz. Thats where the fun stuff is, Federal wise

Just a quick note. I heard some brief comms on NLET Control 417.700 114.8 PL this morning. Someone asked for a radio check.
