Marcs #9776

Wednesday Dec. 02, 2009

I was driving on the turnpike at about the 135 mile marker and listening to site 6F0F-025 Elyria (Lorain). I heard someone saying " I believe that is our target coming out of the door now " right after I heard this I did a quick save of the talkgroup so I didn't have to write it down. I do know that this is a real talkgroup number. It isn't listed in the database as far as I can tell. Has anyone else picked up any traffic using this talkgroup?

The TGID is 9776...

If memory service me correctly, that talkgroup was kinda in with some others that were considered sensitive in nature and not in the database for that reason. I did some searching but there is quite a few threads to say the least. I found this one, which might explain why you wont see them listed. http://forums.radioreference.com/ohio-radio-discussion-forum/97411-marcs-talkgroup-9744-a.html. It really rings a bell with me so I decide to atleast take a look back into time. If I luck across it, I will let you know, but I believe that I have some notes on it somewhere with it being in the group with 9744 in which your traffic post indicates its the same type thing Hope this helps ya.

11312 off of the Dayton site this afternoon. OSP Piqua (D5/Post 55) talking to various Piqua units
and possibly others who were setting up for something. There was no urgency to it, so it was not
for a pursuit or anything like that. One radio ID I caught was 38942.

Hi Mark, I been Listening to this same Tg off the Wapak Tower, I have it loaded in my scanner as Piqua and dispatch refers to iself as Piqua but today it sounded more like ODOT than OSP. I'm wondering in maybe Piqua Dist HeadQuarters for OSP also handles ODOT Dist Stuff?

Mark and Rick, I too copied traffic on 11312. It was definitely a utility company, when I first heard the traffic they were in the Piqua area talking about switching out circuits. Then I copied further traffic about them setting a pole in the Hegaman's area of Lake Loramie. I have No clue as to which company it would be however.

Picked up Celina FD on 23200, and also on 23216 Last nite. Mercer EMS has been using the 23200 on a regular basis, and a Chief told me the FDs were supposed to be up and running in December. So hopefully get more info. Auglaize still has me scratchin my head, as the FDs and one PD are using the same talkgroup.15120, but they are still working on things, and Im sure we will see other talkgroups come about.

The only Fire traffic I've heard on a Freq Assigned to the Sheriffs Office was 15074, I've not heard anybody other than Cridersville on 15120, their Fire Dept WAS talking to the PD on it last night from an EMA Portable I think.

Nice list! What program is that from?

By the way, I would consider excluding the ones with zero hits as noise on the control channel...

On New Years night I heard 56352 while I was monitoring MARCS (not sure which site). It sounded possibly like a Hancock County SO TG. This TG is not in the DB. Hopefully someone else will pick up and we can pin down who it belongs to.

Okay I just caught this again with a HCSO Deputy requesting to go to TAC 1. I will be submitting this to the DB as 56352 HCSO TAC1

I just heard Findlay City doing tests on MARCS but was NOT able to get the TGID. It was between 11:00 AM and 11:12AM. Not sure of the time either. Just heard the last bit of traffic. So if anyone is able to track it.

Your lucky I've been logging activity with Win500.

The TG is 53088 but is in the DB as Mutual Aid Commuications with Hancock County SO.

Also as a sidenote I saw 2 Radio Hospital vans @ the Rawson VFD a little while ago. I'm assuming they're installing MARCS radios into their Fire Units. However it's only speculation at this point.

===Edited to Add: Radio Hospital is under contract with MARCS to installed the MARCS radios in Hancock County.
