been hearing 25040 and 2288 from auglaize or mercer towers. 2288 maybe fire or law enforcement. unsure on 25040.

I heard Middle Point EMS on a run the the other day, with all traffic on 25040. I know they have MARCS radios, and were likely "taking them for a spin" so to speak. I don't know if this group is specific to MPVFD or a countywide group.

TG's 1443 and 32195

I'm just south of Dayton and have found two active talk groups that seem to be unlisted. One is 1443, and the other is 32195.

1443 seems to fall numerically with District 5 OSP (heard reference to Springfield)
32195 seems to fall numerically with District 8 OSP (heard reference to Wilmington)

I hope this helps. I'm a bit new to RR & trunking in general.

You should set up your scanner to ignore status bits. Those aren't the actual talkgroups but rather the talkgroups plus a status bit.

1443 = 1440 (OSP Post 80 (Marysville) + 3 status bits (meaning its patched to another talkgroup)

32195 = 32192 (OSP District 8 HQ/Patrol (WIlmington) + 3 status bits (meaning its patched to another talkgroup)

That would explain things. I will do just that, info/insight is much appreciated. It's definitely been a learning experience. Thanks!

With the OSP Consolidated Dispatching, they use patches a lot now.
In this case Post 80 Marysville patches to Post 12 Springfield and Wilmington patches to Post 29 Xenia.

New TGID 39056 off of the Dayton site, locations and traffic sound like a private ambulance service operating on the western side of the Dayton area.
Perhaps this is Integrity Ambulance, as it has been some time since I have heard their UHF active.

Shelby County Country Concert?

Greetings...
Heard this morning TG 37824 and 37856 from the Shelby County tower. Two men were talking about the entrance to the campground. They mentioned by name 'the campground', 'the stage' and something about the security building. One man also mentioned to the other that he didn't have all the channels programmed into his radio. The other man said he would take care of that.

Then started hearing traffic on 11792. Several radio checks and a request to walk behind the stage to see if a signal could be attained. Same two men talking. Talk of using a repeater, and finally satisfaction that the signals were good.

37824 and 37856 are listed in the database as 'Demonstration/temporary use'
11792 is listed as 'Event common 21'

All between 9:30a.m and 11:00a.m

wbowery: Middlepoint was running on 81-FIRE&EMS on MARCS. You may also have heard them a couple times last week as well. All their VHF equipment was being narrowbanded. And they were using marcs while the equipment was down for service. All public safety on VHF in Van Wert county is now narrowband.

I don't see that group in the database. Is that the 25040 group I have been hearing Middle Point on?

Van Wert SO was having difficulty paging some FDs during the tests Saturday (6-16). Must be related to the narrowbanding. Middle Point VFD was having some VHF difficulties Saturday morning talking to their squad as well.

Wbowery:

Yes, The traffic you were hearing on 25040 is 81-Fire&EMS. 25056 would be 81-EMS, 25008 is 81-Ops1, and 25024 is 81-Ops2. Confirmed. I will submit them to the database today. At the time of 6-16 there was a bit of a miss match from wide to narrow as all departments were being programmed, Which is why they were having some issues paging. All should be good now. You won't hear much traffic on these TG's though as the county still primarily uses VHF, But for mutual aid or instances where MARCS would need to be used, you now know what your listening to. Happy Scanning!

36416 off of Dayton site, quick mention of somewhere in Preble County. I've been parked on it for over an hour now and no other traffic has been heard.
One RID was 2080.

New Van Wert groups

I heard Van Wert Police on their MARCS dispatch tg last night. The PD unit said to go to MARCS channel 2. This was followed by encrypted traffic on 25120. The same traffic was heard today, and again 25120 became active with encrypted comms.

A few weeks ago after a major fire, a Van Wert Fire unit was heard calling their base on 25072. They never received a reply from the station.

Warren,

I added the PD Ch.2. As for 25072 fire, please let us know if you hear further activity to positively identify it as VWFD Dispatch or ops.

Thanks!

I have been hearing traffic on talkgroup 39024 in the Dayton/Springfield area. Sounds like undercover officers. Anyone able to ID this talkgroup?
