Remember the old Oklahoma City PD CH 11? I'm hearing what sounds like a maintenance crew using 156.2100 MHz. Doesn't sound like skip to me, and it doesn't sound repeated, which makes sense since that freq never was repeated.

That freq is being used by the city of Choctaw for public works and it is a repeater, it is the DB

Huh! So it is. Does it surprise anyone else that this license was granted, or even applied for, considering Oklahoma City still holds active licenses for 159.0300 and 156.2100?

The fire chief does some funny things sometimes...sure helped out comms in Choctaw though. There are 4 repeaters all in the same area, Choctaws daytime fire dispatch, daytime police dispatch, schools, and public works.

They would use it at NW 10th & Portland in their training cars. I heard it car/car down in Santa Fe once after the switch to 800, and I'm sure it was used as car/car or tactical when they were on VHF. But they had a tone on it so they wouldn't have heard Choctaw.
