Yesterday 7/20 our local FD (Elmwood Park) was dispatched to Old Tappan requesting a boat. Started listening and discovered multiple towns responding for mutual aid requests. No mention on the new or news papers. Anyone have any info?

Yesterday 7/20 our local FD (Elmwood Park) was dispatched to Old Tappan requesting a boat. Started listening and discovered multiple towns responding for mutual aid requests. No mention on the new or news papers. Anyone have any info?

Yes. There was a major brush fire on an island in the middle of Lake Tappan. The only access to the island is by boat. Multiple boats were requested in order to shuttle personnel and equipment from the mainland to the island.
