Old Wickenburg PD 155.625

Recently I have been seeing key-ups on the old VHF Wickenburg PD channel (155.625, PL 110.9) with a loud buzz. The key-ups last for a few seconds but do not seem to have a reply.

I assume that they simulcast the old VHF with the new P25 during installation so I suspect the noise I am hearing is some sort of leftover or dirty phone line etc. type issue.

If they're using MDT's, it could be a data frequency for that.

Most MCTs these days use cellular data and not radio systems, ie FirstNet.

It is transmitting the legacy PL tone (110.9) so I suspect it is not data. Sounds like a dirty phone line or something to me.

They’ve had that problem for several years on and off especially after a rain. As far as I know it was only used for their Citizens Patrol after the changeover to RWC.
