Omaha Police Help an Officer

A help was put out on NE dispatch at around 0150 on 1/29/10. Unknown reason why. The help was put in by a call taker. It was canceled three minutes later.

A "Help An Officer" radio call shall be broadcast on all 4 precinct main dispatch channels, (A01, A02, A03, A04, A08) as well as city-wide and Event 2 (B02) per precinct so that all units are made aware of the situation. The actual call does not have to occur within that precinct to have the broadcast occur.

Actually it goes out on all dispatch channels, including county all OPD Event channels, all info channels and OPD common channels.
The help originated on the phone not the radio.
