Omaha Scanner Club Meeting

I would like to invite everyone to the upcoming Omaha Scanner Club Meeting on Monday October 10th at 6:45pm. Lately there has been a lot of good discussions on the Nebraska Scanner forums, and I look forward to meeting some new scanner listeners. The meeting will be held at the Chalco Hills recreation area. There are no fees or club dues, and new members are always welcome.

Hey, do me a favor. During your meeting ask if anybody has an on line scanner monitoring the Omaha area. I'm particularly interested in Sarpy County FD's. I used to live in Bellevue and I'd like to listen down here in San Antonio (where traffic is mostly unmonitorable digital ProVoice).

I will definitely ask around if anyone has heard of a Sarpy Co. feed. If there was a feed for Sarpy, it probably would have made one of the message boards.

There are however feeds up for Lincoln, Omaha, and Council Bluffs. Below are some links.

KG4WHM, I wish I could help you troubleshoot--would only be fair--but I know there are folks on the Colorado and Texas forums that do feeds and have been willing to help others.

Thanks for the live links. since Omaha went 800mhz, getting them outside of town is impossible.

It would be nice if someone would just do Omaha and Sarpy County Fire. Police scanning takes up too much airspace. I don't mind PD feeds, but IMHO, when Fire and PD are mixed, you miss out on some good fire stuff because PD occupies all the radio waves.

I do appreciate the feeds provided, however. If anyone ever gets an Fire/EMS only feed up for the Omaha area, let me know...

I'm going to play around with it this weekend and see if I can get it to work. If I do I will post what frquency and talkgroups I will be scanning.
