Omni & LPA mounting on tower

Hey All,
I have a 225-400 LPA & a discone that I want to mount both on my tower.
The LPA is on top of the tower with a rotator & the discone right now is
mounted on the side of the tower with side arms.Should this be the way the 2 antennas should be mounted...or should the discone be mounted up above (on top) of the LPA?
Will performance be affected this way?
