ON Fire Marshall Fleetnet Question...

They are very rarely used in any zone from what I've been lead to believe.
Most communications are sat phone or cell phone.

No OFM activity the TGs are assigned but no units are listed. The same holds true for a lot of the hospitals in zone 1 the TGs are assigned but no activity is heard.

I've logged activity on them in the past and have actually heard units talking.

I also know of one dispatch centre that has the talkgroups programmed in a backup radio.

Keep in mind that 154.070MHz which is known as OFM Common to most agencies is used for mutual aid communications.

As far as I've understood and from what I've actually monitored, the OFM talkgroups on Fleetnet are for the Fire Marshal's Office use only. Similar to 154.190MHz which was only used by the Fire Marshals.

Actually I think 154.190 is what I meant to refer to it as.

I can't remember which one I heard then on around here before. But it was one of them.
