Also based off my handwritten notes which I have in my little red booklet, 177.177 Rusk was also a neighbor of 217.217 Wells, 143.143 Nacogdoches and 65.65 Mt Enterprise, which makes sense geographically.

Okay, I had the perfect set up with an errand over to a crew near Carthage. I took the scenic route back through Tatum, Longview and Marshall for AEP and Oncor research. The file is attached. I will be submitting and adding 79.79 Longview and 101.101 Henderson. But there is a new 181.181 that has the same frequencies as what I thought was 177.177 Rusk. I got close enough to Rusk the other night to decode 177.177 and there was no 181.181 there. Now last night, 181.181 comes in fairly clear from Longview on a good hill showing Henderson, Mt. Selman, Longview and Tatum as neighbors. Longview and Tatum don't make since because Henderson is in the path of both, and 181.181 doesn't show 217.217 Wells as a neighbor which is pretty close to Rusk. Ben Wheeler and Rusk both share the same frequencies, but Ben Wheeler is clear on the other side of Tyler and doesn't make sense if it is in fact 177.177 for any neighbor but Tyler.

Then again, the Tyler neighbors that showed up the other night don't make sense either.

I think they haven't fully rolled this system out for functional use in East Texas just yet is my opinion. I will periodically drive around and check these sites during my commutes back and forth from San Antonio to Shreveport to see if anything else changes to make more sense.

I will update the database tonight with several new confirmed sites, from Georgetown to Rusk along US 79. I was able to catch all of them with DSD+ and clear up the 181.181 and 177.177 confusion, as 181.181 is Ben Wheeler and 177.177 is Rusk, and both use the exact same frequencies but different primary CC’s. I’ll note that at this time there is no EDACS or P25 control or Harris high speed data channels active in Milam County (Rockdale and Minerva licenses) or Robertson County (Calvert and Franklin licenses).

I've been running Unitrunker on 935.475(Grapevine) for a couple of weeks now. Here are some of the talk group hits. 242, 130, 129, 241 seem to be the busiest. I haven't really listened to it much to ID uses.

Yeah I had suspected 21.21 was Athens when I passed through Palestine but couldn’t confirm yet, will add tonight

71.71 is probably Corsicana based on the Athens data. The only two unidentified site licenses on 938.9125 are for Corsicana and Sulphur Springs, and Corsicana is much closer.

Well, yesterday was a marathon. I had to work through all the data I had. Most sites were easy enough to find, but there are several more quirks to this system that are hard to understand.

I travelled from Longview along US 80 to Grand Saline before heading south to Athens and then to Waco and south on I-35 from there. I collected and confirmed the following (previously ID'd sites have an *):

Belton
Bethel*
Fairfield* (I misidentified this as Slocum previously)
Bradford*
Clifton
Corsicana
Longview*
Brownsboro*
Georgetown*
Henderson*
Hillsboro
Hubbard
Groesbeck
Jarrell
Blum*(this was misidentified as Decatur in the database)
Marlin*
Tatum*
Minerva
Oglesby
Rhonesboro
Ben Wheeler*(This one changed to 219.209, 181.181 is near Longview but not licensed properly)
Temple
Kemp*
Terrell*
Waco
Tyler
Wills Point

Ben Wheeler.........this site has driven me nuts but I finally locked it down when I headed east of Canton to get in sight or the tower and make sure I had it right. It is actually site 219.209, final answer until they change it on us. It neighbors 103.93 only, and based on the frequencies reported, that could only be Gatesville which is pretty far away with many sites in between. It is nearby several closer sites in Smith, Van Zandt, Kaufman, Henderson and Anderson counties, but that is only one weird quirk. I picked up what's probably Gatesville going south of Waco and it is similarly configured:

Site: 103.93 NAC=067

Neighbor: 91FE7.00A-219.209

Channel 0-271: 938.4 SCC
Channel 0-313: 938.925 SCC
Channel 0-318: 938.9875 CC

Site: 219.209 NAC=0DB

Neighbor: 91FE7.00A-103.93

Channel 0-37: 935.475 CC
Channel 0-39: 935.5 SCC
Channel 0-111: 936.4 SCC

Another oddity is that Groesbeck only neighbors 215.215 which is all the way up in Weatherford. Several potential peers surround it, but none of them show up on it's reported neighbor list at this time:

Site: 109.99 NAC=06D

Neighbor: 91FE7.00A-215.215

Channel 0-214: 937.6875 SCC
Channel 0-290: 938.6375 SCC
Channel 0-372: 939.6625 CC

I've also got neighbors that are guesses at this time but probably correct:

179.179 Rockdale (neighbor to Jarrell, Georgetown, Minerva)
47.47 Calvert (neighbor to Marlin, Temple, Minerva)
205.205 Franklin (neighbor to Marlin)
213.213 Walnut Springs (neighbor to Clifton and Blum)

There are few more in the P25 data file that are anyone's guess. Feel free to look it over:

I'll add that 181.181 comes in fairly strong from Marshall to Longview, but there are no sites with those licensed frequencies around there that aren't already identified.

One has to wonder (and imagine) that they probably prestaged / preconfigured a lot of site equipment, and then maybe decided to repurpose equipment from one site for another site that they thought was more important to have online. I remember AEP doing that to at least three sites here in Ohio. They either showed up online with one set of freqs, disappeared, and reappeared at a new location (with the old peers listed), or they configured them for one location and decided to drop the equipment in another location before they ever put it in the first location. A few of those AEP sites sat for a month online at the new locations broadcasting the old peers before they were eventually updated. @firemantom26 and @n8jsw would remember that.

I remember finding new sites, than updating later down the road as they would change from Network: 92715.002 to Network: 92715.1F6, peers, sites etc. A ton of changes that @mtindor would have to change in the DB. That's why he makes the big bucks.

AEP site 73 showed 92715.049 instead of 92715.1F9 yesterday. Since it’s neighbor list showed all 1F9 sites I brushed it off as an oversight. 049 is the hex to 73 so seemed to be a early rollout mistake.

I did log a good amount of data traffic from the Belton location but its not the trunk groups shown. I wonder if thise wireless power switches found on telephone poles are connected to the system?
